Role: Junior Motion Designer

Location: Old Trafford, Manchester

Hours: 8.45am – 5.15pm (Monday – Friday)

Package: £26,000 basic salary (£30,000 OTE)

We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Junior Motion Designer to join our dynamic creative team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for motion design, a keen eye for detail, and a strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite. As a Junior Motion Designer, you will collaborate with our team of designers and motion designers to create compelling visual content across various media platforms. You will also explore and integrate generative AI tools, such as Runway, into our creative processes to push the boundaries of our design capabilities.

Key responsibilities:

  • Create high-quality motion graphics and animations for various media including social media, web, and video platforms
  • Edit and enhance video content to produce polished final products, ensuring seamless integration of motion graphics and other visual elements
  • Work closely with the creative team, including designers and senior motion designers, to conceptualise and execute creative projects
  • Utilise Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator to produce and edit motion graphics and visual content
  • Explore and experiment with generative AI and AI video platforms (such as Runway, Veo, Kling) to enhance creative projects; learning and adapting new AI-driven workflows including text-to-video, image-to-video, and AI-assisted editing as these technologies evolve
  • Organise and manage project files, assets, and resources efficiently
  • Participate in regular reviews and provide constructive feedback, iterating on designs based on team and client feedback
  • Continuously seek out new techniques, tools, and trends in motion design to keep our work cutting-edge

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Motion Design, Animation, or a related field, or equivalent work experience is desirable
  • Experience in motion design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your skills
  • Proficient in Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator
  • Enthusiasm for exploring AI and AI video tools with a willingness to learn and experiment with emerging technologies as they develop
  • Strong visual storytelling abilities and a keen eye for design aesthetics and details
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. Open to receiving and providing constructive feedback
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
  • Hands-on experience with AI video tools and a familiarity with other design and animation software is a preferred but not required
